Mark is from Washington State and Michele is from Pennsylvania, the two meeting in Chicago at Moody Bible Institute. They were married in 1992, remaining in Chicago until Michele completed her degree in International Ministries in 1994. Mark then continued his training in Elizabethton, TN, receiving his degree in Missionary Aviation Technology in 1997. After graduation, Mark and Michele spent two years ministering with Moody Aviation, Moody Bible Institute's Missionary Aviation School. Mark served as a maintenance instructor, equipping others to use their newly acquired skills in overseas missions.

Throughout their training process, the Swensens sought the Lord as to where and with whom He would place them to minister. When they learned of MARC, and the ministry opportunities in Alaska and the Russian Far East, their hearts were burdened to become a part of the ministry.

My name is Neakita Anna. I am 4 years old (7/26/97). My favorite things are dressing up like a princess, taking care of my baby dolls, and bossing my brother around. Mommy and I have lots of fun cooking in the big kitchen and I often make seven course dinners for the family in my little kitchen. My Daddy is my hero.

Hi! I'm Jeremiah Phillip. I'm 3 years old (8/22/98). And I love to irritate my big sister. My favorite things are trucks, cars, and epecially trains, using my tools to fix things around the house, playing hide and seek, wrestling with my Daddy, and snuggling Mommy.

Last but not least, I am Alaina Rose. I am one year old (6/12/00). I love to have everyone's undivided attention. But my alone time is important to me too. You hsould see me push my activity walker around the house. Watch out world, here I come!
