Special Notes

The course extends over both fall and spring semesters. The course grade is assigned at the end of spring semester. Feedback on assignments and on progress toward completion of the term project is intended to provide students with a good indication of how they are doing at any point in the course.

Because this is an honors course, the default grade for acceptable work is a B. Outstanding work will be recognized with an A. Unexcused late work and work that doesn’t meet the requirements of an assignment may receive a lower grade.

This class will show up on fall semester transcripts as a deferred grade. The instructor will submit a letter to the financial aid director at the end of fall semester advising that students in the class who are receiving financial aid are making satisfactory progress toward completing the two-semester course. Students receiving scholarships or other financial aid should notify the instructor so that their names can be listed in the letter.
