Vista Real Estate's Rick and Naomi Fuller weren't looking for a big name to partner with - the big name came looking for them. Already the leader in the market, Vista's numbers keep on growing. In 1996, no company sold more residential property. In fact, nearly one in five residential property sales and nearly one in three new construction contracts in anchorage today are through Vista. The company shows no sign of slowing down. "Our growth is ahead of us," explains Rick. "And it's customer driven growth."
Today, time is more valuable to home buyers and sellers than ever before. Vista agents rise to the challenge with quick, efficient and friendly service. Rick and Naomi are quick to point out that among the company's many assets, it is Vista's agents who make their company shine. Agent turnover, in an industry that averages 20 per cent each year, is "nonexistent" at Vista. "We want our agents, builders and of course our clients for life," says Rick. "We help create a positive, productive atmosphere for our agents and give them the tools they need to best serve their clients."
Those tools start with top-caliber, on-going training for all agents. Numerous Vista agents have graduated to become nationally recognized "Top-Producer" or "Rookie of the Year" agents. Vista also won a "Company Growth" award through their previous national affiliate. Vista has three office locations (Anchorage, Eagle River and Mat-Su Valley) and over 160 agents, supported by a staff of 35. Vista Mortgage has 10 employees.
Vista backs its agents with the largest advertising budget in the state and a great deal of technology. In fact, the Anchorage office itself is wired for success with a $300,000 phone system featuring over 600 lines for phones, computers and faxes. This maximizes access to electronic listings, client contact and Internet access.
One of the most valuable tools for agents and customers alike is Vista's in-house Mortgage company. After just a year and a half in business, Vista Mortgage Company, in partnership with Alaska USA, has become a major lender in the state.
They are also now a major player in relocation services. With Prudential's nationwide relocation specialists, moving anywhere to or from Alaska with Vista is no problem.
Prudential Vista Real Estate is constantly striving to be on the cutting edge in real estate marketing. Prudential Vista is now introducing Value Range Marketing (VRM). "It's the newest pricing concept in the world," explains Naomi. "You advertise a range to negotiate within and it really helps sell homes faster." Naomi adds that customers have the option of also pricing their home "the traditional way."
The company celebrated its 20th anniversary in April, and its future resolutions continue to be impressive. Goals for Prudential Vista Real Estate for 1997-98 include extending service throughout the state of Alaska, Internet services, expanding the company's commercial division, continuing community involvement, and carrying on its full-time commitment to quality service.
