Sean
Martin, captain of the 53ft "Irish"
has been fishing out of Homer for 24 years.
A long-time Homer resident and owner/operator
of North Country Charters he has the experience and knowledge to
give you a complete and successful Alaskan fishing trip. Sean is
familiar with the birds and wildlife in the area and has a great
desire to share them with his customers. He enjoys kids and often
you’ll see one of his sons joining him for the day.
The “Irish” carries a maximum of 16 fishermen (more if all one party)
and is also available for groups up to 22 passengers for sightseeing,
weddings, school groups, nature tours, oil industry and other transportation
services. See the “Irish's” web site at http://irishcharters.com. |
Joe
Svymbersky, captain of the "Pacific Sun", a long-time
local commercial fisherman/charter operator has been an owner/operator
with North Country Charters since 1992. He has one of those personalities
that make you comfortable even when you have no experience. Along
with halibut fishing Joe offers salmon fishing or a combo during
certain times of the season. Happy with the re-power on his 28ft.
GlasPly, Joe is racing to the fishing grounds with the fastest boats. |
Chuck
Hanshaw, captain of the "IdaNina"
owns and operates his 32 ft. Pacemaker. Chuck has been with North
Country Charters off and on since 1986, first as a crew member and
now as a captain since 1995. With his love for fishing you never
know what kind of creature from the deep you’ll bring home. Of course
halibut is his specialty but he’s not picky. |
Richard
Baltzer, captain of the “Obsession” owns and operates his
30 ft. Chris Craft. Richard specializes in our saltwater salmon fishery,
providing excellent trolling for kings, reds, pinks and silver salmon
depending on the season. He is available
for combos and halibut fishing.

And
let's not forget the tireless ground crew
who pick up where the captains leave off, hauling your lunkers up
to the office, weighing them, taking pictures, and filleting them
as you relax with a hot cup of coffee or a well deserved ice cold
beer at the "Salty Dawg" across the street.
Gerri Martin, taking
your bookings, juggling schedules, and making sure you leave Homer
smilin'. |
