Inclusive Heli/Snowcat Ski Weeks:
Unlimited vertical feet of skiing are available over a normal operating day in the helicopter and/or snowcat with our premier weekly three or six day packages.  80,000 vertical feet per six-day package is guaranteed. 40,000 vertical feet per three-day package is also guaranteed.  If we do not reach, or if we exceed our targeted guarantees for the week a rate of $23 per 1000 vertical feet will be credited or charged to your account.  All credits remain on account with VHC for your future use.  The amount of vertical feet skied during a ski week is determined by the amount skied by the group for that week.  For example, if you choose to ski a partial day or not ski at all for a day or more, your vertical will be based on the amount of vertical achieved by your group at weeks end, as this skiing is available to you.

Daily Heliskiing:
Heliskiing is available by the day.  A normal Heliskiing day includes 18,000 to 20,000 vertical feet of skiing.  If we do not achieve the minimum daily vertical feet of skiing/riding you will be refunded $23 per 1000 feet.  Be prepared, should you be skiing from the helicopter with a group that is engaged in one of our weekly packages which includes unlimited daily vertical you are subject to $23 per 1000 feet charge for vertical exceeding 20,000 feet in one day.  The cost is $560 per day.  Incomplete or down days are limited to a 50% refund.

Skiing by snowcat is available on a daily basis.  Advance reservations include lunch.  An average day of snowcat skiing produces 12,000 to 14,000 vertical feet of skiing.   The cost is $165 per day.

Do you have 9 friends?  Book one of our 10 passenger PistenBully Snowcats for a private day.  Advance reservations include lunch.

Multi-day Snowcat Skiing:
With the addition of two snowcats to the fleet, we will be expanding terrain and offering multi-day full board packages for skiing exclusively by snowcat for the New Millennium.  This new opportunity will allow an extremely effective first step for those of you interested in skiing or snowboarding here in Valdez's Chugach Mountains.  You can now access the terrain in a cost effective and ability friendly way.  With VHC, at any time during your stay when your confidence or pocketbook dictates, you can enjoy a helicopter ski day to accentuate this experience of a lifetime!

Private Helicopter Charters:
The private helicopter is often in heavy demand; it is important to book time well in advance of your proposed use dates. The general rates for the private helicopter during the 2002 season will be $2150 per hour with a two-hour cumulative minimum per day based over the rental period.  This rate includes helicopter, pilot, fuel, and one guide.  Each additional guide is $325 per day.  VHC will solely determine the number of guides and or special equipment required to complete all skiing endeavors, operations, and projects undertaken by the private helicopter.  Please call for specific details

Ski Touring Huts:
"Earn your turns with Valdez Heli-Camps!" Valdez Heli-Camps introduces new opportunities in ski touring for Thompson pass.  From a vantage point 4100 feet above Prince William Sound enjoy breath-taking vistas overlooking expanses of glacier, ocean and Alaska's famous Chugach Mountain Range. You can enjoy brilliant mornings, afternoon alpenglow, and the quietest star filled andnorthern lit nights or weather even the toughest storms in the comfort of our fully insulated, heated, and electrified 25' by 12' Touring Hut. Excellent ski touring and light mountaineering is available from the front door. You can arrange for a guide or enjoy the exploration of the nearby terrain on your own. You and up to 5 of your friends can comfortably enjoy this unique and unforgettable experience. You and your gear will be transported by Snowcat to the Touring Hut located just below the 5700' summit of Stone Mountain. We provide transportation, all firewood, fuel, and waste disposal.
The cost for up to 6 people is $435 for the first night and $325 per night for each subsequent night.   (Optional) Guides are $325 per day.

VALDEZ HELI-CAMPS offers a sliding scale prepayment discount. Ski packages reserved with full payment are entitled to a progressive discount.  Any ski week reserved for the 2002 ski season paid for in full by the end of the months listed below will receive the indicated discount:

Reservations:
You may reserve a ski package by completing a Client Registration Form and sending 25% of the total balance at the time of reservation.  Reservations are confirmed on clearance of transaction.  The remainder of the balance is due no less than 90 days prior to your reserved ski week.  Please identify your payment with Name, Address, and Week #, and actual dates of your reservation.

Terms, Refunds, Cancellation, and Insurance:
VHC's financial commitments are undertaken well in advance of your ski vacation with us, therefore the following terms apply.  VHC reserves the right to cancel any package at any time.  Ski packages are sold as units for a specific time frame.  No refunds will be granted in whole or in part for unused days, late arrival, or early departure.  Down days are also non-refundable.

Cancellations: VHC must receive written notice of cancellation.  Notice provided 180 days prior to your reservation will be refunded less a $110 process fee.  For notice received less than 180 days prior to your reservation, all moneys received on account are nonrefundable. Any rescheduling within the 180-day period is solely at the discretion of VHC.

Insurance: I would like to encourage you to purchase Vacation Cancellation Insurance from your travel or insurance agent.  Life, Medical, Personal Property and Emergency Evacuation insurance are also highly recommended. VHC does not cover these types of losses.  Please be sure your insurance company covers you while in Alaska.
