Tenakee Springs is a small village with about one hundred residents. There are no cars, and only float plane and ferry access. It is a great place to relax, and has the additional attraction of a wonderful hot springs, that serves as the town's bath house. It makes a great stop after a couple of days of travel. The area offers excellent whale watching, bear viewing, and kayaking if arranged in advance. There are several ways to include this stop in your trip. A round trip from Juneau can be done in three or four days. Regular float plane service makes a one way trip popular. The possibilities are countless. We are happy to explain the possible options and can suggest the trip best suited to your travel plans. Meals, snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea are provided. Alcohol is not provided, although there is a liquor store at the harbor. Smoking is not permitted inside the boat, and nonmarking soles on your shoes is appreciated. The Top Dog has a comfortable flying bridge and a back deck for sightseeing.
