WINTER IN ALASKA

Winter in Alaska can be stunning and it can be dark and gray. You must get out and enjoy
our Alaskan winters. During December, in the Kenai area, the sun comes up around
9:00 am and set about 4:30 pm. Here are some photos taken around Alaska
in the winter. Enjoy them and I hope to add more as time goes by.

Sunrise in Kenai

This was taken one morning looking over
the snow bank at work.

This photo was taken by Kristi's High School photo teacher.
It is the Russian Orthodox church in Ninilchik.
And, yes, a full moon is so bright that you don't need lights to see.

This photo was also taken by Kristi's HS phot teacher.
We see Northern Lights like this in Kenai, but you
must be up late or early to catch them.
