LE CONTE GLACIER

Le Conte, the southernmost active tidewater glacier in North America, is just a short boat ride from Petersburg. For an unforgettable change of pace, we recommend you take a few hours (about 4) to visit there. As we navigate through the icepack in the splendor of the bay, you will experience some of the most vivid colors and magnificent scenery imaginable. In addition to the great icebergs, you will surely see Harbor Seals and their pups reclining on the ice, out of harms way.
