Special Events
Orientation
Orientation consists of a three day personal development conference at a nearby conference center. During this time students meet challenges, push themselves to set goals, and make plans for meeting those goals. They become part of the EagleCrest community, and begin building relationships with peers and faculty.
Intensives
Two 7 day sessions during the school year are devoted to focused investigation of a single topic. The course offerings vary according to student and instructor interest. Some possibilities include the Stock Market, Winter Sports, Ethnic Cooking, Arthurian Legends, Tessellations, Science Centers of the Pacific Northwest, Life in the Middle Ages, HyperCard, or Mountaineering/Rock Climbing. Parents and other professionals are invited to teach.
Amelioration Days
At EagleCrest, we recognize that students do their best work when they have a clear sense of purpose and direction. Therefore, we set aside several days during the year for students to focus on evaluating completed work and setting new goals. They examine their academic progress, learn from the experiences of others, and work toward a concrete what-l-really-intend-to-do-when-l-graduate plan.
Winter Snow Day
A time to enjoy the snow on the day before the beginning of Christmas Break.
Graduation
Time to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating Seniors.
End of Year Picnic
Friendly Field Day and Picnic
