Hi and welcome to Bugs & Buses. This page will seem to take forever to load so I'm going to try to give you a lot to read so you don't leave. The reason it's taking so long is because the pictures are loading in their entirety even though some of them are only thumbnails on this page. That way the pictures load quicker when you go to the separate pages. In other words one long wait instead of a bunch of short ones. And what would be the fun without pictures to look at.

As you'll see we collect pre 1970 VW's . We usually don't have much money so the dubs we buy usually don't run or don't run for very long after we buy them. We used to try to get by with used motors, which is the main reason we have so many dubs sitting around the yard. It's kind of nice having a little scrapyard of VW parts at my disposal. We have owned a VW bug almost all our driving days in one form or the other. Now we have four bugs and three buses out of which only one is on the road. We'll try to update the pictures now and then as we are trying to do something with each of the vehicles. And not just getting them on the road. We have plans. Check back. Hope you enjoy.

The Dubs

These are the VW's we have collected here in Alaska. Like I stated, we ususally can't spend much so the dubs are kind of rough.

We just enjoy finding a cheap one and all the treasures inside. We have plans for each one as you'll see.

I have noticed a '50's model bug nearby and hope to acquire it also. We'll keep you informed. And the other day I spotted a pre '68 bus at a storage yard with trees growing all the way around it.
