This page is an effort to coordinate management of my digital assets after my passing or incapacitance.

If I'm out of the game, and the designated executors listed here don't know it, please email them all with a link to this page. Executors should also use this page to track and coordinate asset status and new locations.

Digital assets

I designate Bryan Medsker and David Kohfield, both of Anchorage, AK, to be my Internet and computer co-executors. They have the authority to coordinate whatever actions are needed to transfer my projects into safe hands. Stephanie Bauer of Anchorage, AK and Jack and Carol Williams of Loma, CO will have insight into what my wishes might be, and I want them to also be involved and consulted.

Domains, sites, and social media

roycewilliams.net

A permanent centralized location for information about me and my post-mortem status, and a receptacle of existing original content not otherwise outlined here. As cheap as domain registration and hosting is, both should be extended for 10 years after my death or permanent incapacitation.

Royce's Alaskan License Plates

Domain, content and curatorship to be transferred to Dirk Starck of Eagle River, AK to do with as he sees fit. This also includes the related domains 'akpl8s.org' and 'pl8.net'.

tycho.org (domain)

To be retained until all email-related business has been conducted, plus one year. Afterwards, domain registration to be retained by my family, or released to Tycho Sleator, as my family sees fit.

To be monitored for emails from people that I know for a period of at least two years, so that they can be notified. The most likely to be used are royce@tycho.org, royce.williams@gmail.com, royce@tycho.org, and royce@techsolvency.com.

Mailing-list and listserv subscriptions

Unsubscribe. Perhaps consider a list of list memberships as a page on roycewilliams.net.

Physical assets

My computers

Servers to be replaced with minimal functionality to support current household requirements. Contents to be backed up and provided to my parents, Jack and Carol Williams, and to Stephanie Bauer. Hardware to be disposed of by my digital executors to do with as they see fit.

Other computer hardware, parts, and accessories

Password-related hardware: consult with Jeremi Gosney (AKA epixoip) to advise sale (ZTEX, etc.). First rights of refusal for sale of ZTEX to @Chick3nman. All other: to be distributed or disposed of as my digital co-executors see fit.

Media

After contents are managed as above, all writeable media should be wiped or destroyed as outlined here. A list of all non-personal read-only media (software and game CDs, etc.) should be sent to Jason Scott, for potential import to the Internet Archive.

My license plate collection

(Not really digital, but included here for completeness.) To become the property of any children that I may have. Stephanie Bauer and my parents may select any that they would like to keep as well. For any portion of the collection that any of the above do not wish to retain, I recommend that Dirk Starck of Eagle River, AK be consulted to broker any sales.
