He received his papers in the seventh district (Atlantic West coast, the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico) and has navigated and fished waters from the 7th district to the far northwest for the better part of 40 years. A capable USCG licensed master mariner whose mantra is "safety first," Captain Jack has fished Alaskan waters from the salts of the Gulf of Alaska to the Bering sea, from the pristine rivers of the southeast to the nameless streams of the interior. His experience guarantees you the finest fishing experience you will find anywhere in the world. For those of you who are primarily fresh water fisherman.( trout. Salmon, etc..) you might be interested in knowing that Captain Jack is the founding president of the Alaska Council of Trout Unlimited, a National Resource Board member for the 9th region of Trout Unlimited and a former member of the National Board of Directors of Trout Unlimited . Captain Jack is presently serving a second term as President of the Alaska Council and still serves as the National Resources board director for the state of Alaska in Region 9.

Captain Jack and his wife Louanne, reside in Wasilla, Ak, during the winter months and in Homer, Ak from March till October.
