I wander alone
I do what I please
I live how I want
And need nothing else
To live and survive contently

I last by not trusting
I have just a few friends
Yet treasure what I have
Even though it's not much
But what I do have I can always count on

I always am cautious
When it comes to love
It's a really scary thing
I want it but can live without it
Because the pain is hard to bear

The immense power of love
Punctures holes in my heart
My soul is now wounded
I'm vunlerable and hurt
Why can't she love me like I love her

Whomever wields this power
If they cannot harness it
It will turn on them quickly
It strikes hard and fast
Always and forever love's pain will last
