Brown Family Homepage

When my wife and I decided on "our" homepage theme, we were torn between two themes. One that would highlight our 20 years of experience serving the country as military members in the Air Force or one that would highlight the state in which we reside and call home, Alaska. Our decision was made to highlight Alaska and entitle it Scenes from Alaska. As part of the process, we want to add pictures from around Alaska. As time goes by, more pictures will be added. We don't know how we will classify them yet (i.e., hunting trips, towns we've been to, fishing trips), but we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I suspect that it will be an evolving web page based on what we like.

Furthermore, we have some favorite web cam sites that show various views of Alaska. Most of them are situated within Anchorage Alaska, however, there is one that shows different airports around Alaska. You may think that is crazy, but when you stop and think about it, it is a good way for pilots to get a general idea of the local weather around the state. Considering the easiest way to get around this state is to fly, it does make sense. Anyway, without further ado, I present Web Cams from Alaska.

We are also going to put in some "shameless plugs" for some businesses that we like. One such business is Heavenly Sights Charters and Campground, Ninilchik, Alaska. The campground and charter is owned and run by a good friend of mine, Danny Martin. Danny, is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and is a "crusty old salt" that will make your stay at the campground and on a charter a most memorable experience. He is quite capable of spinning "tall tales" covering just about any subject that you would care to talk about. The really neat thing about Danny, most of his "tall tales" are told from experience. If you go to the link, you will see a picture of Danny and a client, Danny is on the left. That is a nice size "butt", just think how many fish fillets you could get from that "butt". Danny has another skipper running charters out of the campground, Jim Thompson. Jim is a friendly Alaskan ready to tell you about fishing in Alaska. These two guys will make your charter experience one that you will remember for years to come.
