The Greek word that was translated in our Bibles as 'salvation' is the word 'soteria.' It means to be saved, healed, preserved, to do well, be in health, be whole and be delivered. This salvation is for our whole person: body, and soul, as well as spirit. (1 Thes. 5:23)
