PAINTER CREEK LODGE
Painter Creek Lodge, located in the central Alaska Peninsula, is 350 air miles from Anchorage, and 95 miles south of King Salmon, Alaska. Accessible only by air, the lodge features a wilderness setting surrounded by the Alaska Peninsula Wildlife Refuge and the Aniakchak National Monument. A main lodge building is used for dining and gathering. Sleeping quarters, consisting of duplex cabins, accommodate two persons in each side with private bath facilities. Painter Creek Lodge's remote location offers exceptional fishing in a wilderness setting. Birds, moose, caribou, brown bear, small game, and waterfowl abound in the area. The waters fished by the lodge's guests have little other fishing pressure. All five species of Pacific salmon run in the Painter Creek/King Salmon River area and nearby locations. Trophy char and Dolly Varden are found in abundance. Guests will have the opportunity to fish using aircraft, jet boats, and float trips for a variety of experiences. Equipment and personnel are flexible from day to day to meet the needs of each individual. The number of guests is limited, allowing us to provide the best personal service. |
TRANSPORTATION: Painter Creek is served by commercial airline from Anchorage via King Salmon, Alaska. WEATHER: Temperatures on the central Alaska Peninsula range from the mid 30's to the high 70's from June through September. Temperatures range from the mid 20's to the mid 40's in late September and October. In July there is more than 20 hours of daylight. Coastal influences may cause rapid weather changes resulting in abrupt chill factor variations.
