Uncle Pret led grace, Kris Rehberg and Dan Mears offered toasts, and we sat down to a salmon and halibut buffet.  Since we couldn't bring all of our guests up to Alaska for our wedding, we decided to bring some of Alaska down for everyone to enjoy.  (Virtually every gathering we attend at home has some combination of salmon, halibut, caribou, berries, and other local foods.)  The food prepared by the Bear Mountain Inn was excellent.

Toasting with the Rehbergs.

Please and Thank You string band.

At a friend's wedding earlier that year, we had such a great time dancing to an old-time string band, that we decided to do the same.  At our wedding, we had lots of fun contra dancing to the Please and Thank You string band, with Paul Rosenberg calling the dances.

Kick!

"Sasha!  Sasha!

Eins!

Zwei!

  Drei!"

Dancing.

Sandy and Jeff dance past Lisa and Billy.

Contra veterans Sandy Bailey and Jeff Nugent show off, and Mike's parents take a spin  on the old wooden dance floor.

Mike's folks out for a spin.
