Uncle Pret worked with the local
parish to arrange the details of our
marriage. Following tradition, we signed the parish log, adding our
names to a record stretching back over a hundred years. We were
glad to be part of it.

While our guests traveled the
short distance to our reception at the Bear Mountain Inn, we loitered at
the church to have some portraits made. |

|
We made our way back to the
Bear Mountain Inn, and of course rubbed the bear's nose for good
luck. We're not sure when this tradition started in the 90-year
history of the Inn, but that nose sure is shiny and smooth. |
|
|
|
|
|
We climbed the grand
staircase leading into the classic stone-and-timber lodge to meet our
friends and family gathered inside and start our celebration. After
snatching a passing Hors d'ouvre, we asked our guests to join us on the
stairs... |
