Our ceremony included lessons from Genesis, the Song of Solomon, and the Gospel according to Matthew.  Mike's cousin Sean Durkin and friend Jeff Nugent shared these stories with us.

We exchanged vows following the wedding ceremony in the Book of Common Prayer.  As a symbol of our commitment we exchanged rings made for us in Anchorage from Alaskan gold.

After our blessing we moved outside and into the bright colorful autumn light.  We finally got to meet with all of our guests on the receiving line.  It was wonderful to talk with everyone, if briefly! Donna greets the Vail family.

On the receiving line at the Cliff House.

Our mothers conspired to make birdseed-filled ivory silk roses.  Donna's cousins Rachel and Elizabeth made sure that every guest received one.  After we ran the birdseed gauntlet we ducked into Ann and Tom Durkin's Cadillac, ably piloted by Corey Rehberg, and drove out to record our marriage. Walking down the path in a shower of birdseed.
