The Vision of the Alaska Society
of Professional Engineers is to represent and serve all Alaskan
engineers to better the profession and its members.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Mission of the Alaska
Society of Professional Engineers is to promote engineers' ethical
and competent practice, professional development, community service,
advocacy, and networking for the betterment of all engineers
and the public.
GOALS
- Provide education, career development, networking opportunities,
and other benefits to engineering professionals and students
- Provide networking opportunities.
- Facilitate communication with the engineering community.
- Maintain a viable society.
- Promote the competent, ethical, and professional practice of engineering
- Support ethical engineering practice.
- Define and maintain engineering's professional standards.
- Advocate the interests of engineering professionals and protect the public through an effective government relations program.
- Encourage education programs at University of Alaska & K-12 schools.
- Support Career Development.
- Align the structure, activities, and governance of the Society to
optimize support and resources for all programs.
- Advocate engineering issues to the government and the public.
- Enhance the image and stature of engineering professionals.
- Improve the image of the Engineer.
