About Seldovia
Seldovia is an isolated fishing hamlet located on Seldovia Bay,
a fiord extending off of
Kachemak Bay. It is home to 300 souls and
has a varied and
important place
in Alaskan history. It offers
tranquillity and stunning scenery with great kayaking, mountain biking,
hiking, berry picking, fishing and camping. It also has the services of
a medical clinic, numerous B&B's, the
Boardwalk Hotel,
a full service store, gift shops, fuel depot and several restaurants
and cocktail lounges. It is truly the best of both worlds.

How to reach Seldovia.
Seldovia is 225 miles south of Anchorage. It is reached either by
flying to Homer
Era Aviation (800/866-8394) has scheduled air service] or by
driving the scenic Seward Highway (about 6 hours). You can fly the 16 miles
from Homer to Seldova via Smokey Bay Air, 907-235-1511 or
Homer Air (907/235-8591) or take a water taxi via
Rainbow Tours 907/235-7272 which includes a wildlife tour in their 1-1/2 hour
trip.
