Approximately May 20, King Salmon start
entering the Kenai River (the world record was caught on May 27). Because of low water at
this time of year, we generally fish from drift boats as they are more maneuverable in low
water. This enables us to fish portions of the river inaccessible to power boats. When the
water level rises around June 10, we will switch to power boats for the remainder of the
season. |
