A Dall Sheep ram. Sometimes you see it spelled Dahl after the German naturalist who sailed with the Russians during exploration of what is now Alaska. This species (Ovis dalli), is the only all-white colored wild sheep in the world. We see it on all the Alaska Natural History Expeditions. |
