On all Expeditions, you can expect to run across red fox (Vulpes vulpes). When we find a fox den site in the wilderness, there can be fantastic wildlife photo opportunities. In June and early July, the young pups, just coming out of their dens, have never seen humans before and are, therefore, very tame and curious. This cutie, the runt of the litter that didn't get much of the food brought in by the parents, was easy to approach and photograph. |
