Week 4, Adding Links & Tables

Assignment for Week #4:

  • Continue working on your HTML documents at home.
  • Email me a rough draft of your home page by Week 5 class or the URL address where I can locate your page on-line.
  • Try to include all of the HTML elements we have reviewed so far.
    • In Week 5 we will review, discuss uploading, and cover "what went wrong". Week 5's class will end at 5:30 due to scheduling conflicts.



    Week 3, Making A Page

    In Projects you will find links to each of your pages. Don't forget to look at your coding -- View/Source. I have made notes in there on some of them. If you want to email code changes with directions where to replace, I'll post the changes to your pages from here. This is optional. Working on your individual pages at home is more important, I think. Great work everyone!

    Assignment for Week #3:

  • Work on writing up text your HTML documents at home.
  • Set up your new file folder, Web_Tools. Within that folder create three new folders , one for your HTML documents (names could be "homepage" or "WWW", etc.), one for your pictures (I recommend you call it graphics), and one for your FTP program (WS-FTP).
  • Download WS-FTP to the new folder you have created. Remember to print out the instructions that go with this.
  • Start looking for graphics to include on your page in the Tool Box. You can point at the picture you like, right click on your mouse, select "Save As" from the menu, and browse to find your "graphics" file under the "Web_Tools" file that you created in step #1 above.

    • Next weeks class will cover a review of our projects from Week #2, saving graphics and the four kinds of links you can create.
