I'm the oldest of three girls born to
 Laura O. Dawson and Oliver W. Turner.
 My earliest memory is living in
 Cosmopolis and roller skating thru the neighborhood.
 We moved to Harding road in Aberdeen.
There was a large empty lot behind our house where all
 us kids in the neighborhood played.
 My fondest memories are of the times I spent at my
 Nana's and Baba's farm in North River.
 Picking blackberries. Gathering apples off the ground
 and making cider.
 Walking thru the tall ferns with Baba, scared because
 we couldn't see thru the ferns and did Baba
 know the way back home.
 Walking across the swinging bridge making it swing
 to scare younger sisters and cousins. Scaring
 myself too!!
One year for my birthday Nana gave me a Banty hen
 and seven babies. Of course they grew up
 and we ate them, but it was  fun anyway
 to have them around.
Weekend trips to Westport. Walking across the railroad
 tracks to what we called "kid beach". One of the trips,
 I found a penguin, brought it home, 
but of course it died.
 Walking to the park. It had several kinds of play
 ground equipment us kids would play on.
 I pushed Nora to hard on what was called 'the monkey' 
bars, she fell broke her arm and we ran crying all the
 way home.
I grew up and moved away.
