Greetings! My name is Barbara and I will be your hostess. I arrived in the great state of Alaska on July 7, 1977 and have lived in Fairbanks since August 1977. When I was growing up, in hot central California, I always wished to live in a place where there was snow, so I could have the "white" Christmas I saw in the movies. Well, now I have my "white" Christmases... also "white" Octobers, Novembers, Decembers, Januarys, Februarys, Marches and Aprils, and sometimes Septembers and Mays - EVERY YEAR! "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR." *SMILE* Alaska is a beautiful state, filled with wilderness lands and an abundance of wildlife. It can get pretty cold here in the winter, but the mild summer weather makes up for that winter cold. The Aurora Borealis, or "Northern Lights," as we call them, are absolutely mesmerizing. It's well worth venturing out on a cold winter night to see them "dance" and light up the sky. I have some information about Alaska and my Alaska photos on my pages linked below. I hope you can stay a while and experience a little bit of our life here in the "Last Frontier." *SMILE* |

January 29, 2000 - I have been working on changing over most of our webpages to Rootsweb Freepages. They give us unlimited space, so I am expanding, with more pictures on several of our pages, and more pages! Hopefully most pages will be "done" in February, but I will continually add things, especially as I keep getting new family tree information. |
