Sheep Creek Hatchery | ||
DIPAC HOME | Sheep Creek Hatchery was built in 1980 four miles south of downtown Juneau. The facility was originally designed to incubate up to 40 million pink and/or chum salmon for commercial fishermen. In 1986 the Coho Annex facility was added to develop a coho broodstock source for what was eventually to become Gastineau Hatchery. The hatchery was recently converted into a coho rearing facility to augment Gastineau production. |
