Hunting Areas

Chipitani Safari Company conducts safaris in Zimbabwe where concessions are leased on ranch area. Areas vary from 20,000 acres to over 100,000 acres on which Leopard and a variety of quality plainsgame animals abound. Big game hunts are conducted on Government and Communal area concessions.

Camps

Camps are traditionally tented and thatched and overlook scenic views and are fully serviced with hot/cold showers and flush toilets. Excellent meals and hospitality are provided.

Travel

Access to areas is by road or air charter from Harare or Bukawayo. International flights connect to both main cities.

Climate & Equipment

Temperatures during the day are quite warm but may fall below zero at night. Include brown/green hunting clothes with a warm jacket and gloves, comfortable hunting boots/shoes, woolen clothing for leopard hunting, hat and casual camp wear. CAMOUFLAGE CLOTHING IS ILLEGAL.

Bring your rifle (.300 cal upwards for leopard and large antelope and .375 cal. Upwards for buffalo and elephants), shotgun, ammunition, knife, binoculars, camera with film, torch and any other personal items felt necessary.

Health

An anti-malarial prophylactic is recommended at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival in Zimbabwe.

Liability

Whilst care and every precaution is taken to prevent any accidents it should be noted that "any safari is potentially hazardous and it is essential that all lawful directions of the Professional Hunter or Safari Operator be followed".

Chipitani Safari Company (Pvt) Ltd accepts no responsibility for any illness, accident or loss whatsoever incurred in the course of the safari or for any expense arising from such illness, accident or loss..

It is recommended that a Personal Insurance be taken out to cover yourself and your property.

 Terms of Payment

All quotes are in US dollars.

Cashiers cheques, bank drafts, telegraphic transfers or travellers cheques are acceptable modes of payment. No cash please. A deposit of 40% of the daily rate will confirm a safari. The balance of the daily rate should be received 30 days before the start of your hunt. Deposits for cancelled safaris will be forfeit unless the hunt can be resold. Trophy fees are payable at the end of the hunt and are on all animals killed or wounded and lost.
