Natchik Activities

Charter guests may help in pulling shrimp and crab pots to catch a scrumptious meal of fresh seafood. Spot Prawn and Coon stripe are the primary shrimp caught. Dungeness and Snow crab are most frequently brought aboard. We do occasionally have large King Crab in the pots.

Fishing gear for halibut, salmon, and rockfish are provided if you care to fish.  

Wildlife viewing and photography opportunities are abundant. Deer, black and brown bear often frequent the beaches. The are great numbers of eagles present most of the year. Wolves are occasional seen on the beach as well. Skiffs are available to explore the shoreline. 

When underway we normally see a wide variety of marine animals including Humpback, Orca, and Grey whale. Dolphin and sea otters are also present on most of our trips. The dolphin often follow boat and offer some great opportunity to get pictures from as close as 10 feet when they are close to the bow of the vessel. Seals and sea lions are also normally nearby. 

If you are interested in Kayaking, we can make arrangements to rent kayaks from several local sources. The area offers a great deal of protected water in which you can safely paddle and get a true taste of Alaska at its best.

Scuba diving trips can be arranged. The water here is cold, but very clear.
