The Kenai Peninsula is arguably Alaska's most beautiful region. Certainly, it is the most travelled. Summer months can bring herds of RVs that back up the highway and fill the campgrounds. Nevertheless, the Kenai has breathtaking scenery. During the fall the crowds have dwindled, and the view can be even more spectacular. My wife, Neva, took this photo along the shores of Kenai Lake. |

The famous Kenai River begins at Kenai Lake. A large glacier flows into Kenai Lake where most of the glacial silt settles. The resulting water is a brilliant turquoise blue. The Kenai River flows this color throughout its course. |
The Airport at Seward is right on the Resurrection Bay next to the Boat Harbor I thought this was a very cool birds-eye view of the Airport. |
