Quake 2
Quake 2 is a new game for the Wintel system by Id Software.
Quake 2, one of Id Software's most anticipated sequels, hit the world with a bang. I loved the game. Within weeks of it's release editors started popping up everywhere, and the gaming world went into a frenzy, a lot like that of Quake 1.
GRAPHICS
The graphics are great in this game. Detailed player and enemy models
add a spice of flavor to the game. I especially liked the integration
of the death scenes where they pull up their gun one more time and
attack you. Using a GL version helps a lot, making the rotating skies
and the crisp graphics.
SOUNDS
The sounds were incredible, and are a true asset to the game.
LEVELS
The level design was phenominal and non linear. Rotating objects,
connected levels, all of them added to the ultimate coolness of all of
the levels in the game.
