Singer Peggy Monaghan has been performing and recording since 1980, with over a decade of that period spent in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her concerts encompass a wide variety of material, ranging from country to jazz to contemporary folk. She is well known for her lilting Irish melodies and historical perspective on some of the most beautiful Irish songs.

Peggy's first solo album, Lullabye, was released in 1990. In 1994, she released Seasons of the Witch, an entirely original work based on the award winning book of the same name by her sister, noted women's scholar Patricia Monaghan. She is currently working on an as-yet-unnamed new album, to be released in late 1999.
A cult phenomenon, this acapella trio of singers is a kick in the pants. Featuring the fine-tuned harmonies of Kirsten Baird, Jenny Murray, and Peggy Monaghan, The Derry Aires specialize in Schmalz. Originally formed for the 1996 St. Patrick's Day festivities in Anchorage, The Derry Aires have become a much-anticipated highlight in many local productions.
A
long-time Alaskan, Kirsten has an extensive background in theater, music,
and production. She has been working in the theater arts since 1976, during
which time she has had the varied experiences of acting, producing, directing,
hosting a radio show, and performing in radio and television commercials.
As a nationally-touring performer and songwriter, Kirsten sings and plays
guitar, penny whistle, and flute. Her 1990 release,
Kirsten Baird and
Greenstone - Live is a local favorite. She is a featured performer
in many local productions, and a favorite at the Alaska State Fair. As
a founding member of the cult phenomenon The Derry Aire, she performs with
that a capella trio around the state. She is currently recording her first
solo release O'er the Border.
