Cream butter and sugar. Beat in egg yolks and vanilla. Stir in
flour and salt. Mix in walnuts. Halve dough and press each into a 6"
circle on waxed paper or freezer wrap. Chill for 2 hours or overnght.
Remove half from refridgerator and dust with flour. let sit about 5
minutes or until dough rolls out smoothly. Roll to 1/4" thickness and
cut out with roundcookie cutter or glass. Place on lightly buttered
cookie sheet and bake at 350 until very lightly browned.Place on rack
to cool. when ready to serve spread strawberry jam on bottom of coocie
and top with another. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. (Can be stored for
several days at room temp in tupperware container)
