Michell Davis
Alaska Regional Coordinator


Michelle has been with the Alaskan Office since it opened. She is a Tlingit tribal member with a strong background in Natural Resources.

Prior to her position with the Society, Michelle worked with the Governor's Office in Alaska in the Equal Employment Opportunity department doing training curriculum development. She also worked with ARCO Oil implementing an outreach program to be used in the North Slope School District and worked at the Alaskan Native Medical Center doing early intervention for the prevention of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Prior to that she worked for the Cook Inlet Tribal Council as an Employment Specialist, helping people make the transition from public assistance to school and employment.

For more than ten years, Michelle advocated for sexually abused and assaulted persons, is also a certified drug and alcohol counselor as well as an EMT I in the State of Alaska. She trains medical professionals and others to increase their effectiveness in working with Alaska's Native Peoples. Michelle is completing a B.S. degree in Natural Sciences.






Lianna Jack
Alaska Regional Intern


Lianna is an honors student working on a B.S. in fisheries at the University of Alaska, Anchorage. She is of Yupik descent and has a broad background in photography, publication and commercial fishing.
