TYPES OF MEMBERSHIPS




Tribal Membership: Any Tribal Government, wanting to join the NAFWS, that is dedicated to the protection, preservation, enhancement and prudent use and management of Tribal fish and wildlife resources. Affiliate Organization Membership: Any organization, wishing to join the NAFWS, with an interest in the furtherance of the objectives of the Society. These organizations are eligible to become contributing members, but are not eligible to vote.



Tribal Individual Membership: Any Native American person, wishing to join the NAFWS, who is dedicated to the protection, preservation, enhancement and prudent use and management of Tribal fish and wildlife resources.



Affiliate Individual Membership: Any non-Indian individual with an interest in the furtherance of the objectives of the Society. These individuals are eligible to become contributing members, but are not eligible to vote. Family Membership: Any family, wishing to join the NAFWS, dedicated to the protection, preservation, enhancement, and prudent use and management of Tribal fish and wildlife resources. Student Membership: Any person enrolled in a formal education program who wishes to join the NAFWS and is dedicated to the pro- tection, preservation, enhancement, and prudent use and management of Tribal fish & wildlife resources.



CONTRIBUTIONS




Contributions to the NAFWS Permanent Trust Fund, Scholarship Fund or Small Grants Program will be used to further the efforts of the Society to develop a non-federal, independent source of funding to support Tribal Natural Resource Programs and projects and the objectives of the Society.

Contributions to the Patricia M. Zakovec Scholarship Fund will be used by the Society to further educational efforts to train Indian students in environmental awareness, to encourage Indian youth to seek career opportunities in fish, wildlife, outdoor recreation and environmental professions and to provide adult vocational technical training to Indian professionals.

Contributions to the Small Grants Program will further the management efforts of Tribal fish and wildlife programs in areas that are not currently being funded from other sources.
