Proper
mowing is essential to healthy lawns, as it promotes growth and
keeps the lawn looking its best. If the proper grass height is
maintained the roots will grow deeper. Deep roots promote
growth of a healthy, dense lawn. The lawn will then withstand
heavy use and will discourage the proliferation of weeds and
disease.

Thatch
is a dense layer of non-decomposed grass
clippings, roots, & stems that gradually
forms between the soil and base of the grass
plant. The use of nitrogen-rich fertilizers and
frequent watering, plus soil with a high clay
content, can also contribute to thatch buildup.
Thatch reduces effectiveness of pesticides and
creates an ideal environment for insects &
lawn diseases.

Aerating |
|
|
|
We use
a spike-aerator to loosen the soil, which allows
air, water & vital nutrients to penetrate to
the roots. Our aerating service is available
throughout the growing season.
