The Kenai River is famous for the many trophy sized king salmon that are caught by sport anglers each year. The season runs from mid-May through July. Peak periods are generally early to mid-June and mid-late July, although large fish are caught throughout the run. The world record (97 1/4 lbs) was taken during mid-May in 1985.

For king salmon fishing trips we offer either Half or Full Day charters.
The advantages of the Full Day trips include: (1) opportunity to fish through the best part of the tide; (2) to fish the change of the tide which can greatly affect fishing in the tidal estuary; (3) fish during the noon hour when most guides are off the river; (4) improved chance to hook and land a king salmon and; (5) more relaxed and rested fishing guide!

Regulations restrict us to taking a maximum of Four Anglers per boat on the Kenai River in July. Bag limit for Kenai River king salmon is one per day, and two per season.
