Alaska Bear Company
The
home that is now Alaska Bear Company Bed and Breakfast was originally built
in the mid-1930s and has undergone extensive remodeling. Currently, there
are two rooms available for guests with expansion plans for the future.
The Polar Bear Room in the smaller of the two, has a queen size bed and
a shared bath with a noeangle shower and lots of brass/glass. The Brown
Bear Room has two single beds and has it's own bathroom utilizing the old
cast iron tub that was in the original bath.
Alaska
Bear Company Bed and Breakfast is located in the downtown Anchorage area,
next door to the Sheraton Hotel and is Alaskan owned/operated and is open
year round. Alaska Bear Company is a non-smoking home/bed and breakfast
(you may step outside and "puff" away") and there is off-street parking
available for our guests as well as a courtesy guest telephone. Continental-Full
Breajfasts are available and the serving schedule is somewhat flexible
as we do what we can to accommodate our guests.

Business / Tourist Location
Many
local businesses are within easy walking distance of Alaska Bear Company
Bed and Breakfast making it convenient for the traveling business person.
Numerous tourist attractions and restaurants are also in the immediate
vicinity so the "Want-to-see-it-all" travelers may take advantage of nice
leisurely walks while taking in the sights. Access to the main artery to
the south of town is a block away while access to the north is the street
right in front of Alaska Bear Company.
