EagleCrest Academy is an independent
non-profit day school for students in grades 7-12 with
dyslexia
(specific language disability), located in Anchorage,
Alaska. The Academy is committed to providing a supportive
educational environment where students learn how to become
self-directed learners who strive for academic excellence.
To this end, specially trained staff utilize small class
size and a multi-sensory, concept-oriented, experiential
approach in all instructional areas.
The school has two equally important goals: The first,
graduate students with skills that enable them to succeed at
the college of their choice. The second, nurture character
traits which lead to strong interpersonal relationships,
success in the world of work, and a commitment to serving
the community. EagleCrest is recognized by the State of
Alaska, and credits are transferable to other schools.
